NEW ART THERAPIST SEEKING JOB!!!

Hello,

Welcome to my STATA personal web page.

I have included some of my own artwork and photographs. I have worked for over 15 years as a graphic designer mostly in Orlando, Florida.

I recently relocated to Houston from San Francisco after graduating from Ursuline College

with my Master of Arts in Art Therapy. I am looking into finishing courses for an LPC in Texas.

My experience includes working with psychiatric patients (adults and teens) at Windsor Hospital in Chagrin Falls, Ohio (where I lived/grew up).

I have also worked with pediatric patients and their families at Rainbow Babies and Children’s Hospital in Cleveland Ohio. At this location, I had the opportunity to do bedside and group art therapy. I also had a unique opportunity to present art therapy sessions on television throughout the hospital. We were able to reach so many patients this way. It was quite a successful program. I completed extensive research with an 8 yr old dialysis patient where I used art as a form of pain management during his dialysis. My thesis is based on this research.

Finally, I started a new art therapy program at Seton Medical Center in San Francisco, California working with adolescent and adult medical patients. It was challenging starting from scratch, but well worth it.

I am currently seeking employment preferably in the northwest area of Houston. I am willing to work part or full time… I need to start accumulating my hours for my ATR credentials!

I would appreciate any and all advice, wisdom and JOB LEADS that anyone may have.

You can email me at: tweenkie333@yahoo.com

I look forward to meeting everyone at future STATA meetings!
