Workshop: The Healing Power of Poetry and Music,
facilitated by Tina Karagulian.
www.tinakaragulian.com/PoetryWorkshop.html

We will spend the morning focusing on one limiting belief that has been stuck in our consciousness, and through visualization and writing exercises, we will change the wording of that belief to one that resonates with our soul. The afternoon is devoted to lyrics and music...we each recite lyrics (or listen to lyrics) of a favorite song and pick out lines that speak to us, and from this list, we will create a group poem. It is a day of changing what we don't need and honoring the incredible power of our words to heal. Please bring the lyrics (and recording) of your favorite inspirational song, a notebook for writing, and a lunch item to share with others. Space is limited, so please send check by July 15 to hold your space. Join us!

I have over twenty years experience as an artist, individual therapist, and a facilitator of creative and healing workshops. I create loving connections with people that unlock their untapped potential, guide people as they dive deep into their soul, and utilize art and poetry to access archetypal places of healing. I enjoy honoring people’s gifts and watching how those gifts can transform one’s emotional and spiritual health. Please visit my website to view my art gallery, counseling services, and workshops.

Important Announcement Regarding Using Option C to Obtain ATR status

At the Fall 2006 Board Meeting, the ATCB Board of Directors voted unanimously to eliminate Option C as an avenue for becoming a registered art therapist (ATR). Persons currently working towards obtaining the ATR through Option C must have their completed applications postmarked by September 1, 2010.

The decision to eliminate Option C was made after lengthy consideration. The ATCB Board of Directors sought and received input from The Board of Directors of the American Art Therapy Association (AATA), the AATA Education Committee, and the Coalition of Art Therapy Educators (CATE). Thmajority opinion was that the elimination of Option C would be in the best interest of the art therapy profession.

The ATCB will continue to process completed Option C applications postmarked by September 1, 2010. Incomplete applications and applications postmarked after this date will not be processed.
